Over the last few years I have gotten quite a few questions and searches to the site that have a lot in common, I thought I would take a moment to answer them and perhaps help you out as well.
Here are the frequently asked questions (or frequently searched for information):

What are some ways to be frugal? What ways can I save money?
The easiest explanation on being frugal is to spend less than you bring in. This may mean buying used, second-hand items; it also means finding ways to cut back and save money. Basically you are simplifying your life to save money and be frugal. I even put together 11 simple steps to living on less that make this very easy to set about doing.

I need more information on tiny homes.
There is are quite a few resources out there for a tiny home, you may want to start with reading, tiny rooms, tiny homes. There are also a few resources for living in smaller spaces and minimalizing your existing space.

Does unplugging electronics save money?
The short answer is yes, even though you have many appliance that are shut off, they are still drawing power. A friend of mine found that out by unplugging a de-humidifier, so these phantom loads are real. There are other ways you can save money, utilities and the environment along with unplugging cords.

What are some depression era recipes (or what can I learn from the great depression)?
There are some great recipes in a series of books “Stories and Recipes of the Great Depression of the 1930’sā€œ, and I recently highlighted some more unusual and easy to make depression era recipes. But recipes aren’t the only lesson that can be learned from the great depression; just by listening to and observing those who have been through the 1930’s, we can also learn how to handle the stresses of our time.
