Festival of Frugality 124

Each I host I like to have a theme to organize it around, previously I have gone by topic, put together my own trivial pursuit game, assigned each entry a type of flower, set it up as a newspaper, and even put together a blogger’s first post with their entry. I suppose I could just through them out randomly but that is kind of boring to me.

Last week was hosted by Sound Money Matters and next week is hosted by Quest for Four Pillars- get your entries in for next week. Just so you know, I generally don’t add posts that relate to investments, credit card games or real estate buying. To me Frugality is about living on less, I look for that in the posts that I select.

Here is this week’s Festival of Frugality - the Name Edition

Regard your good name as the richest jewel you can possibly be possessed of - for credit is like fire; when once you have kindled it you may easily preserve it, but if you once extinguish it, you will find it an arduous task to rekindle it again. The way to gain a good reputation is to endeavor to be what you desire to appear.

    Yay! Thanks for hosting this!!

I like the alphabetical index idea. It actually would be cool to have an alphabetical list of PF blogs residing online somewhere. Somebody would have to keep it up to date, but it could be handy. It would be neat for the Finwikian.

Thanks for including Funny’s whoop at discovering that the frugal way not only is cheaper, it works better. :-D
